External counsel, such as independent third-party committees, may in certain cases be more applicable to investigate and assess a situation, rather than an in-house investigation. Where this is the case, we would be involved in that case as a member of the external counsel. If not, we assist our clients by advising with respect to the investigation committee, collecting and maintaining digital evidence for computer forensic-based investigations and drafting any required documents. We believe that for a company to resolve any issue that it faces, the investigation should be completed fairly and in good faith as the results of the investigation will be often made public (in the form of a report).
