Guide to Japan's New Corporation Law: An analysis of the new corporate system based upon a review of the new provisions

Aug 2005
Effective April 1, 2006, Japan's new Corporation Law fundamentally amends many provisions of the Meiji Era Commercial Code. To assist companies doing business under the new regime, our firm has authored a comprehensive treatise, entitled, "Guide to Japan's New Corporation Law: An analysis of the new corporate system based upon a review of the new provisions."

This treatise provides a detailed yet concise practical guide to the major amendments to the Corporation Law by comparing sections of the new law with those in the current Commercial Code.

This treatise is the product of literally thousands of hours of research and analysis, and scores of attorneys and staff, led by partners Kenichi Masuda, Hirohito Akagami, Takashi Akahane, Kazuaki Nagai, Takeshi Watanabe, Tetsuya Itoh, Shigeyoshi Ezaki, Junichi Kondo, and Hiroki Kodate.
