In response to the spread of the 2019 coronavirus disease, our firm has set up a response team to deal with any new developments. We have taken measures in consideration of the safety of our clients, business partners and personnel in advance. On May 25, the government lifted the state of emergency declaration across Japan. However, in consideration of the safety of our personnel, the work from home system that has been in place until now will continue for our personnel in the Tokyo office.

■Period of Implementation
Until June 14, 2020 (Sun)
*In order to prioritize the safety of our personnel, we will continue the work from home system in principle until June 14, 2020. We will separately announce any changes to the work system from June 15, 2020 (Mon) onward.

・In principle, all personnel based in the Tokyo office are to continue to work from home
During the period of implementation, attorneys and patent attorneys will work from home in an environment where information security is ensured. You may still contact the office email address and the direct phone number of the attorney or patent attorney in charge of your matter. We may not be able to answer your call in a timely manner, but we will return your call wherever possible.
・Continuation of Non face-to-face Meetings
As a general rule, face-to-face meetings and internal and external meetings with clients are prohibited, and any meetings will be conducted non face-to-face by video or telephone conference, etc. In addition, we will also refrain from holding face-to-face seminars.

・Regarding Postal Items
As we will be delayed in receiving or shipping postal items, please contact us by email if you have any postal items addressed to our firm wherever possible.
