The interior design of the Tokyo Office was created through consultation with the MEC Design International Corp. (Messrs. Kidon Jang and Takashi Imai), the designer.

Since its establishment in 1958, the Japan Interior Designers' Association (JID) has engaged in a wide range of activities as a group bringing together Japan's leading interior designers and related companies and organizations. The "JID Award," which the Association sponsors, recognizes the outstanding achievements of interior designers and related companies and organizations for the purpose of promoting the improvement of the quality of interior designs and the abilities of interior designers in Japan, as well as contributing to the development of a prosperous society and culture.

KUKAN DESIGN AWARD is one of the major awards for interior space designs in Japan, being the amalgamated form of the two awards that have been respectively held for many years by the Japan Commercial Environmental Design Association (JCD) and the Japan Design Space Association (DSA).

Founded in 1953 in Hannover, Germany, the iF DESIGN AWARD is the world's most recognized award for excellence in design. The award consists of seven fields: products, communications, packaging, service design, architecture, interior décor, and professional concept.
