Opening of Osaka Office

Anderson Mori & Tomotsune is pleased to announce the opening of our Osaka office on June 1, 2017.
We are establishing this new office to enhance our provision of legal services by enabling closer connections with our clients located or operating principally in the Kansai region and Western Japan. In particular, we will provide comprehensive legal services directly from the new office in fields demanding the greatest expertise, including restructuring, bankruptcy and insolvency matters, cross border matters in Asia and emerging countries, Europe and the United States (including M&A, business establishment and withdrawal, and support of internal investigations), finance matters, crisis management, and intellectual property matters, all in cooperation with professionals in our other domestic and international offices.
We are pleased to announce that Mr. Hiroyasu Ueda (a member of the Osaka Bar Association) has joined our firm as a partner in connection with the opening of our Osaka office. Mr. Ueda will have a presence at both our Osaka and Tokyo offices and will address client needs with the benefit of his wealth of experience, particularly in the restructuring and risk management area.
Mr. Tsunaki Nishimura (who will act as the Representative of our Osaka office) and Mr. Zentaro Nihei, both partners of our firm, will be stationed along with several other professionals in our Osaka office. They will provide our firm's recognized high standard of legal services to clients in the Kansai region and Western Japan, applying their extensive practical experience and expertise. In addition, Mr. Ryo Kotoura, although continuing his presence in our Tokyo office, will take the role of Partner in charge of the Kansai region and Western Japan, establishing and overseeing the framework through which we will respond to our clients' needs, and providing the benefit in particular of his comprehensive understanding of cross-border transactions and business matters.
