Our firm Received a Visit from a Delegation of Officials from the People’s Republic of China

A delegation of officials from the People’s Republic of China (the "P.R.C.") visited our office on December 18, 2006.

The delegation, led by Mr. Wang Liping, the officer of the Asian Affairs Department of the Ministry of Commerce, participated in lectures, organized by the Association for Overseas Technologies Scholarship as part of the "Sino-Japan Business and Economy Communicating Training Program", and approved by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the P.R.C.'s Ministry of Commerce.

Our associates, Hiroshige Nakagawa, Akira Inoue and Go Fujimoto conducted lectures entitled "Introduction to Japanese Laws and Regulations Concerning Corporate Activities and Japan-China Comparison", "Introduction to Japanese Antitrust Law" and "Explanation of Unfair Trade Practice in Japanese Antitrust Law", respectively. The lectures were followed by a lively discussion on the characteristics of Japanese Antitrust law as well as the operation of applicable laws and regulations.

The delegation accompanying Mr. Wang Liping included the Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council, the Ministry of Commerce and its subordinate offices, the National Development and Reform Commission, the State Administration for Industry & Commerce, the State Administration of Taxation and related research institutions and trade organizations.
