Jan 8, 2021 Others
In response to the spread of the 2019 coronavirus disease, our firm has set up a response team to deal with any new developments. We have taken measures in consideration of the safety of our clients, business partners and personnel in advance. However, in response to the government’s declaration of a state of emergency on January 7, 2021, we would like to inform you that our personnel in the Tokyo office will, in principle, work from home again.

■Period of Implementation
From January 8, 2021 (Fri) until February 7, 2021 (Sun)
*We may change the period upon careful consideration in response to any future developments.

■Details of the Implementation
・In principle, all personnel based in the Tokyo office are to work from home
During the period of implementation, attorneys and patent attorneys will work from home in an environment where information security is ensured. You may still contact the office email address and the direct phone number of the attorney or patent attorney in charge of your matter. We may not be able to answer your call in a timely manner, but we will return your call wherever possible.
・Shift to Non face-to-face Meetings
We will refrain from face-to-face meetings and internal and external meetings with clients (the reception at the Tokyo office will be closed from January 12 until February 7), and any meetings will be conducted non face-to-face by video or telephone conference, etc. In addition, we will also refrain from holding face-to-face seminars.
