Anderson Mori & Tomotsune has a long history of advising clients in the IT and telecommunication sectors with particular emphasis on IP advice. We advise our IT and telecommunications clients on a broad range of other issues, including regulatory matters, antitrust and corporate law issues. In the IP context, we primarily advise on patent infringement litigation, invalidity actions, revocation actions and patent evaluations in addition to consulting our clients on a constant basis with respect to topical issues. We use our sector expertise to conduct due diligence investigations, both as part of stand alone IT and telecommunications sector transactions and as part of larger M&A transactions. We are constantly assisting clients in the drafting and negotiation of contracts, including services agreements, paying particular attention to the special nature of the IT and telecommunications industries and the nuances of Japanese practice.
