After receiving a Bachelor of Science in 1999 (Kyoto University), Masters of Life Science in 2001 and Ph.D. in Life Science in 2006 (Graduate School of Biostudies, Kyoto University), Dr. Kawasaki served seven years as a researcher of Life Science at the Graduate School of Biostudies, Kyoto University. He has since worked for Japan Patent Office, where he engaged in domestic and overseas patent searches, patent filing and prosecutions, and administration regarding intellectual property rights.
