We are pleased to announce that Mr. Vassili Moussis has registered with the Dai-ni Tokyo Bar Association as a Gaikokuho Jimu Bengoshi (foreign registered lawyer) and has been promoted to Senior Foreign Counsel of the firm.

Mr. Moussis was admitted to practice in England and Wales in 2000 after receiving a 'Licence en Droit' degree in 1994 from the Catholic University of Louvain, an LL.M. degree in 1995, and a Ph.D. degree in 2003 from University College London. Mr. Moussis also worked at the European Commission's Directorate General for Competition for one year between 1995 and 1996 as an administrative trainee. Mr. Moussis' practice is focused on EU law and in particular EU and international competition law with a particular emphasis on merger control and cartel matters. His practice area also includes distribution arrangements, intellectual property issues and other commercial matters, which often include an international element.

Mr. Moussis will continue to contribute substantially in our service offering to our clients and in our desire to continually increase our capacity to handle complex legal projects.
