We are very pleased to announce that Mr. Masakata Kanayama joined our firm as a patent attorney on October 8, 2009.

After twelve years experience in researching and developing plastic materials for a corporation, Mr. Kanayama began his practice as patent attorney (benrishi) and has been involved mostly in the patent filing for the fields of polymer science, petrochemistry, organic chemistry, agrochemistry and functional materials. Mr. Kanayama has also handled invalidation trials and infringement litigation cases for inorganic materials, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. With his well founded knowledge of foreign and domestic patent filing and prosecution, Mr. Kanayama will specialize in handling patent related cases regarding organic and inorganic chemistry, polymer science and agrochemistry.
