Our partner, Shigeyoshi Ezaki and our associates Takamiki Nishikawa and Kotaro Okamoto participated in the IPBA Conference 2009 which was held from April 29 to May 2 in Manila. In this conference, Mr. Ezaki gave a speech entitled "Recent Developments in Merger Review: New Jurisdictions, New Rules, New Challenges", Mr. Nishikawa gave a speech entitled "Trade Law Risks in International Mergers & Acquisitions: "Do" Diligence to Close the Transaction and Avoid Client Liability" and Mr. Okamoto gave a speech entitled "Taxation of Intellectual Property Rights and IPR Tax-Saving Structures".
