The Japanese Law Translation Database System was launched on April 1, 2009. This database system, operated by the government of Japan, will promote the translation of Japanese laws and regulations into foreign languages. The Japanese Law Translation project has been conducted by the government of Japan (by the Cabinet Secretariat up to March 2008, and by the Ministry of Justice from April 2009), and our partners, Hiroki Kodate and Yusuke Nakano, who were past committee members, have supported this project. Our partner, Naoki Iguchi has now become a committee member as of this April and will continue to participate in and support the project.
